Nancy, I did that yesterday and saw the paragraph "Critical reaction" that you copied. The footnote [21] indicates that is taken from an October 28, 2009, OpEd by JANET ALBRECHTSEN, Has Anyone Read the Copenhagen Agreement? in The Wall Street Journal. What I want to read are the actual words in the treaty which you said you plan on reading. I can not seem to locate the words that Christopher Monckton and Janet Albrechtsen are basing their conclusions and statement on. Can you find them?

I am not up for savataging anything. I just clicked the Wlkpedia page that Roz Savage is referring people to about this upcoming event and low and behold it states as follows.

Critical reaction
In October 2009, conservative commentators reacted critically to the draft Copenhagen treaty. Lord Christopher Monckton, a British parliamentarian, has alleged that a proposed Copenhagen agreement will create a World government, under the auspices of the United Nations, which will have “the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations that sign the Copenhagen treaty.” He warned that wealthy nations may be obliged under the treaty to pay an “adaptation debt” to developing nations and to surrender their sovereignty.[21]

I am all for protecting our environment but certainly not at the expense of losing our sovereignty. I have not read the treaty but plan on it.

I find it insane that the same people who are usually screaming “What about the children?” are the ones who buy into nonsensical conspiracy theories like climate change is a big money-making hoax and the left wants to destroy capitalism. The truth is, while I may only live to see the beginnings of hardships due to climate change and the unsustainable mode of living we have today, it’s the next couple generations who will really suffer for our inaction. You’d think they would at least care about that enough to pull their head out of the sand.

Global warming is the greatest fraud of our time. The overwhelming scientific evidence shows that, rather than getting hotter, the Earth’s temperatures are cooling. Increasing numbers of leading scientists are challenging the flawed computer models used by eco-alarmists.
If the Earth’s temperatures are no longer rising, then how can CO2 emissions be responsible for global warming? How could previous dramatic increases in global temperatures – such as the end of the Ice Age – have taken place without concentrations of CO2? The answer is obvious: Carbon emissions are not connected to fluctuations in global temperatures.
The mad drive for an international cap-and-trade system is really geared toward achieving the left’s long-sought goal: the destruction of democratic capitalism and national sovereignty.

It seems to me whoever posted the Ustinov quote intended to insult Roz and those who support and agree with her, and to diminish her cause and the message she is taking to Copenhagen by way of Big Ben and Brussels. The challenge was extended to a presumed impolite Peter impostor. If it was intended as some kind of compliment, please excuse my misinterpretation.
