Merry Christmas to you and your Mum, Roz. Hope you have a great time and enjoy the weather 🙂 Oregon has been rather balmy for this time of year. Soon, Candy and I will take off for Mx to sail the Noe Mar for my 75 year on this planet. Cheers………Ken
Hi … first time visiting your blog. I found you via TED, I was searching for courageous talks and your story intrigued me, so I clicked on it. Wow, I am so glad I did.
Congrats on your amazing accomplishments!
I love your whole talk, especially the points about the stories we tell ourselves and about how we have a free will and choice to make our lives better/different/etc.
Your obituary exercise was somewhat familiar to me. One deep, dark night in my life, I wrote my obituary because I was so depressed and wanted to die (I was recovering from severe injuries from an accident) Seeing my obituary hit a spot deep inside of me and I realized I wasn’t finished living, my obituary was too short and incomplete. So I “Did what I could, with what I had, where I was.” (Roosevelt) and today I run again (docs weren’t sure I would even walk again) and I’m training for a half-marathon this spring.
